The demand for youth entering the workforce with key entrepreneurial skills continues to increase. The World Economic Forum’s, Future of Job Report in 2020 found organizations were seeking key skills from their workers that are prevalent among entrepreneurs. The highest-ranking skills for organizations were analytical thinking and innovation, with critical thinking and analysis, and complex problem-solving being within the top 5*. Entrepreneurship education cultivates these skills in youth through real-world discovery and experience.

Young Empowered Startuppers (YES) and the League of Innovators (LOI) are teaming up to spread the impact of entrepreneurship education across Canada and help prepare youth for entering the ever-changing workforce.

YES makes entrepreneurship education accessible to students through an award winning edtech platform, which guides students on an innovation journey to create a launch ready venture. The platform is used extensively by public school districts in British Columbia and Alberta, in addition to private schools across North America. From this new partnership all YES graduates will have a pathway with LOI’s “Ready to Accelerate Lab” program to further grow and support their entrepreneurial ambitions initially cultivated through the YES startup journey. High schools across Canada who currently use the YES platform will have access to LOI’s inspirational speakers to add to their student’s experience and exposure to entrepreneurs. LOI provides curated content for youth to support their entrepreneurial pursuits along with an intensive accelerator lab program for youth ready to launch their business. With access to YES’ significant network of schools, teachers, and students, LOI will be able to grow the impact of their accelerator pathway and empower young people to be their own bosses in life and careers.

Together YES and LOI can provide a robust and complete pathway to successfully grow and launch young entrepreneurs and innovators Canada wide.

“In the true spirit of collaboration, we are excited to be joining forces with League of Innovators to heighten the reach, growth and support that together we can provide to young entrepreneurs and innovators across Canada.” – Naheed Henderson, CEO Young Empowered Startuppers.

“With our goal to create a more cohesive ecosystem of resources for young entrepreneurs, we are so excited for this collaboration and look forward to supporting students from the YES community as they continue their entrepreneurial journey!” – Manisha Narula, Director of Community Impact and Strategy League of Innovators
