Entrepreneurship Education is an avenue for teachers to nurture problem solving, communication, collaboration, and resiliency in their students.
Entrepreneurship education gives educators an avenue to nurture key competencies in students for their success after high school. These competencies include problem solving, communication, collaboration, and resiliency. The World Economic Forum compiled a list of the top 10 skills for the workers of tomorrow and not surprisingly includes similar competencies and skills at the top of their list.
Why does entrepreneurship create such a strong opportunity to help students with these skills? Largely because it is based in experiential learning that nurtures the skills organically. Students are not reading about abstract ideas; they are given the chance to try them out.
These four key competencies each fit well into a specific section of the entrepreneurship and startup journey.
